Happy New Year! We’re wishing you a year full of small miracles and sizeable happiness !!

As you recall, GIOAS is committed to focus on open issues of systemic social and climate change. We held a conference in January 2023 which took stock of what has been happening with climate action internationally and in Malaysia.  We brought international and local experts together to share their experience and perspectives on the existential threat facing our times.

In 2024 January, we will focus on the post COP28 review, and concentrate on what are the important climate action in Malaysia and Penang, Sabah and other states.

As you are aware, climate action is difficult precisely because it evolves changing social behaviour with respect to protecting the environment and at the same time, raising social incomes and well-being.

We are delighted to extend an invitation to you, especially those who feel passionately about the environmental-cum-social issue. We hope this event will generate more public interest in delivering more effective climate action at the national and state level.
