A story of a jetty which has been demolished and gave way to the urban development. The essence of Koay Jetty captured through a doctor’s len, Dr. Ooi Cheng Ghee. He had taken up photography as a hobby in 1969 and started photographing the people in Little India before he stumbled upon Koay Jetty after a house call. After that visit to Koay Jetty to attend to a patient, Dr Ooi made it a point to visit the clan jetty either before or after documenting Little India.
