The Summit is jointly organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah (KePKAS) and GIOAS, Wawasan Open University with Community Empowerment Initiative Sabah as Organising Partner, and WWF Malaysia, The Habitat Foundation and Invest Sabah Bhd as Knowledge Partners.
The Summit builds on GIOAS’s previous conference in Bhutan on operationalising Gross National Happiness, and now turns to the challenge of advancing the Sustainable Development Goals through impact investing. With the UN SDGs only 18% implemented globally, the Summit seeks to close this gap by bringing together practitioners, investors, policymakers, and community leaders to share practical experiences and develop actionable pathways. Our vision is to establish Sabah as the annual hub for impact investing in sustainable development across the Asia-Pacific region.
We would also like to sincerely apologise to those whom we are unable to accommodate. We have received more than 360 registrations of interest, while participation has been capped at 300 delegates. Those on the waiting list will be offered places should vacancies become available.
